This Federal Revival "cottage" was purchased in the 1950s from a prvate owner and converted from a residence to an Inn, and was managed as such until the late 1980s. "Islesboro Lodge - Vacationland's Island Resort - Dark Harbor, Maine" Pictures of the Lodge, later called the Islesboro Inn, show front side on West Side Road, water side from Gilkey Harbor, and the view of Camden Hills from the terrace.
