Of special interest, written in: 1.Children of Jabez Ames 1789-1811 2.At end of Old Testament on the Marriages page: Fields Coombs (died May 20th 1848) to Betsey Ames - married December 26, 1814 - (died Apr 15, 1868) and their children. 3.On a separate piece of paper in Alice Pendleton's hand "This bible - GtGrandfather Coombs' - Loaned to Islesboro Free Library by Alice l Pendleton and Helen Ryder, Sept. 25, 1935. It came to Fields Coombs Pendleton for his name" 4.On a 2nd Marrage page is written "Edwin Coombs to Augusta N. Veazie September 20, 1864"
