This small collection of newspaper clippings contains a few large, sometimes full-page, features on the island of Islesboro. One from the Lewiston Evening Journal Magazine Section is titled "Islesboro is Island of Peaceful Beauty". It gives a description of the island and also a fair deal of early island history. Another from a July 1965 issue of the Maine Sunday Telegram claims Islesboro is a "Millionaires' Paradise". One 3/4 page article titled "A Quick Trip to a Real Island" is from the Maine Times. One final article is not directly about Islesboro, but about one of its stores. This February 1959 article about Amasa E. Williams' Williams Brothers store gives an informative glance at pre-automobile island life.
