Small silver linked chain coin purse. The purse is clasped with a pin connected to an arched metal strip. The label with it reads: "This little change purse was made from Portuguese Silver Dollars n Lisbon in 1808 for Mary Pepperell Sparhawk Jarvis, wife of William Jarvis. It probably can categorized with many souvenirs brought home by Maine's worldwide sailors, or purchased by the captain's wife as she travelled with her husband, and, in some cases, young children.
