Report (xerox) by Dorothy Pendleton for the Bangor Daily News about the reenactment of the observation of the solar eclipse in 1780 by Samuel Williams, a Harvard professor. The reenactment, using the same instruments, was organized by Robert Rothschild with Harvard Professors Gordon Schiff and Barbara Hughes as the observers, at Bounty Cove, Islesboro, in September, 1980.
