Katharine was sister to Don E. and Lloyd Pendleton, daughter of Roderick N., granddaughter of Dodge Pendleton, great granddaughter of Mark Pendleton Sr. She and Don and Lloyd ran the old "Guinea Store" mid-island,and the brothers ccommunicated through Katharine. She married Stanwood Hinckley, Captain of the Islesboro ferry for many years.
