An unopened soft pack of Chesterfield 101 Cigarettes bearing the Presidential Seal. Measures 4 inches length, 2 1/4 inches width, 7/8 inch height.
It is a muted yellow/orange pack. The front has a picture of a sailboat in the sunset with the inscription: "101 Chesterfield". The sides have the Surgeon General Warning and the company's address.
The back has a white sticker with the Presidential Seal.
A gold circle with the words:
SEAL OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES
In the center is the American Eagle
Below reads:
"Welcome to The White House Staff Mess"
Date of Origin: 1971
Donor: Believed to be David Rolerson
Special Significance: These cigarettes were left behind from President Nixon's stay on Minot's Island, while visiting Jack Dreyfus in August 1971.
