Sampler contains cross-stitched thread of white, shades of brown and green, making up designs, letters, and numbers on burlap. Top part of sampler contains cross-stitched alphabet and numbers 1 through 9. The bottom half contains names of the parents of siblings of the Elizabeth Gilkey family with birth dates - see "People" tab. Sampler frame measures 18 1/4 inches x 17 3/4 inches (outside), 16 3/4 inches x 17 1/4 inches. Frame backed but parts of backing are torn.
