Hanging, shield-shaped, 32 3/4 inches long x 25 3/4 inches wide, sides approximately 22 inches long. Blue cloth tabs on sides and top for hanging. Back has plain white cloth.
Front. Middle contains oval piece, approximately 18 1/4 inches x 16 inches, with many quilted pieces cut out of different colors and cloth patterns to represent the water, sky, flying birds, the Camden Hills, and the Islesboro Lighthouse. Above the picture is the word "Islesboro" and below "Coastal Quilters 1987" in black cloth. Surrounding the picture is an area of white and then two rows of red patterned material which goes to the edge of the quilt. The hanging is quilted throughout.
