A bust portrait of Ernest Thomas, by a photographic/charcoal technique common in late 19th century. Thomas is clean-shaven with a mustache, dressed in suit, collar and tie. Presumably this is the Ernest Thomas in Farrow History of Islesborough p. 285. He was son of Daniel W Thomas and Clementine Sherman, was born 1/27/1864, and married Maggie Babbidge who may have been the Margaret F. Babbidge born 4/12/1866 to Eben Babbidge and Martha Dodge (Farrow p. 168). Ernest was brother to Charles Chester Thomas, grandfather of Pauline Johnson Bakken Byrd.
