U S Permit # 388 to E L Sprague and J A Pendleton dated July 9, 1918 allowing a fish weir in "East Penobscot Bay from the easterly side of Islesboro north of Dark Harbor" attaching a fragment of a map which seems to indicate Boardman Cove. Interesting note that the permission is given by the Secretary of War(!?).
