21 1/2 inches x 15 inches x 8 3/4 inches. Wooden box open in the back, showing the leather bellows, which is operated by a handle that adjusts the amount of air in the bellows. Heavy springs attached to the underside of the box enables the horn to produce a steady loud sound that can be heard by other nearby ships. Two leather patches on either end 2 inches x 1 1/4 inches x 2 inches cover a slight indentation in the wood. The leather patches are open at the bottom. Heavy leather handle 7 1/2 inches x 1 inch with 3 heavy screws on each end for carrying the box.
The horn is made of metal and is attached to the front of the box. The horn is 19 1/2 inches long with an opening at the end of 4 inches in diameter.
