Brown scrapbook, 7 3/4" x 10 1/4". The name Howard C. Pendleton appears on the front cover. Inside cover inscription reads "We are Mayflower descendants from man named Edward Doty." The scrapbook was previously used for notes and discussion of English and American literature. Contents, starting with news of the sinking of the Maine in Havana Harbor, include news clippings, poems, wedding announcements, birth announcements, obituaries, etc.
