Wooden pole, length approximately 10 feet, circumference, approximately
5 1/4 inches; hole through pole approximately 1 1/2 inches from end, two fixtures for attaching sail, one 12 inches from end and the other 56 inches from end of boom. The opposite end surrounds the mast (partly) by means of wood attached to the boom in such a way as to form a "U". Each end has a hole in it so that rope can be used to close off the opening and keep the boom in place on the mast.
