" Charles Chester Thomas was born May 25th, 1858, son of Daniel W. Thomas (b. 2/14/1828) and Clementine Sherman (b. 12/4/1834, daughter of Robert Sherman Jr (3/6/1798-4/28/1835) and Catherine Ames (b. 7/12/1801)
Chester married Rosalind C. Parker (b. 7/5/1864) daughter of Augustine Harrison Parker (b. 1844) and Nancy W. Harriman (1843-1875) Chester and Rosalind had four children.
Chester is grandson of Daniel Thomas (b. 1796) and great-grandson of David Thomas Jr who came to Islesboro form Marshfield about 1784. Chester is the grandfather of Pauline Johnson Byrd of Islesboro.
