Your favor of the 8th instant received at the present writing we see no encouragement or hopes of sending the four big ships to sea.
If you are ready to go to work we shall be very glad to place you on the "Walter D. Noyes" as soon as opportunity arises and if you will advise us if this is agreeable we shall be very glad to take the matter up further.
