Red wooden desk with slanted top for writing and with two doors underneath opening out to reveal three shelves 10 inches apart. Overall measurements
49 1/2 inches x 43 1/4 inches x 21 1/2 inches. This includes all projections.
The desk consists of two parts -- the hinged slanted top with a box underneath having sides 6 3/4 inches high decreasing to 3 3/4 inches high that the top rests upon. The box also has a metal lock on the front. The second part consists of the two doors with dark wooden knobs.
SPECIAL SIGNIFICANCE: Probably used in one of the stores. Also could have been schoolmaster's desk.
