One-piece rubber outfit with boots and hood attached. Boots measure
13 1/2 inches from heel to toe. From top of hood to sole of boot 6 feet 10 inches. Hood elasticised across forehead. Twine is laced through grommets around neck. Flap pocket is on left side. Suit is black; hood yellow.
ORIGINAL INSCRIPTION: 4922 VACOLIFE SUIT/LARGE - 1942. Made for Vaco, Inc. by U.S. Rubber Co. Picture of duck with word "Brand" in center/sheds water.
SUBSEQUENT INSCRIPTION: Notice/This suit may, due to lack/ of materials, be difficult to/replace. Take care of it./ (1) Stow it in a cool, dry place. (2) Fold it or support it in such a way as to prevent fabric from cracking. (3) Keep away from steam pipes or oil and grease.
PERSONAL ASSOCIATIONS: These waders belonged to Victor Lowe, grandson of Nason and Abigail Pendleton, corner of Main Road and West Side Road.
