The section is a side runner part of ice boat. Wooden piece 42 inches long x
5 inches high x 1 inch wide has iron runner attached. Two blocks of wood are attached on either side of wooden piece with a bolt. There are two additional bolts in each block of wood.
PERSONAL ASSOCIATIONS: This iceboat section was used first on a boat built, partially out of wagon parts, by Pyam Hatch in the 1920's or perhaps earlier. The second iceboat to use this gear was a boat built by Scott Rolerson as near to the Hatch original as memory of others could serve.
