Heavy metal step, shovel-shaped 5 3/4 inches x 5 1/2 inches at its widest part and tapered to a broad, rounded end. Extending from the widest part of the step is a curved rod 5 1/2 inches long and approximately 1/2 inch wide. The other end of the rod is U-shaped, ending with two screws which are inserted into the thick end of a flexible metal band, curved on one end and open on the other. The screws are tightened with nuts. The heavy part of the metal band is 3 1/2 inches long and ends in a large ring. The rest of the band, also
3 1/2 inches long, contains a hook that rests in a notch near the ring. The ring, the U-shaped end and curved part of the band enable the step to be stabilized and attached to the wagon. The top side of the step contains checkerboard patterned friction ridges to prevent the foot from slipping.
