Long black silk skirt 45 inches long and 56 inches wide around at the bottom. There are four bands of green and black patterned material, 2 inches wide, and 3 inches apart, sewn onto the skirt in horizontal stripes. The skirt is lined with green material. The skirt opens partway in the back.
SPECIAL SIGNIFICANCE: The skirt was worn in the fashion show at a Historical Society program in the summer of 1992.
DATE OF ORIGIN: In the middle 1800's.
PERSONAL ASSOCIATIONS: Skirt belonged to one of two great-great aunts on her father's side (Clayton) who spent many summers at Hewes Point.
