Description

A carpenter's level, 6 inches x 1 1/2 inches x 1 inch. Made mainly of hard wood. Brass edges top and bottom and covers both ends. The brass is held in place with two screws on either end. The horizontal liquid filled tube is protected by a brass piece screwed into the top of the level. The brass is open on part of the top and the sides directly on the side of the tube so that the carpenter can see the bubble in the tube. There is a hole near one end that goes from side to side. Here the vertical tube is placed. It also has a protective edging of brass. The tube is held in place with two brass plugs, one on the top of the level and the other on the bottom. There is an indentation 2 inches x 1/2 inch in the wood underneath the horizontal tube. This groove helps the carpenter to hold the level.
