Scales measure 19 3/4 inches x 12 1/4 inches x 21 inches overall. Scales consist of a beam balance and weighing platform, both of which are connected to and supported by the base. Base measures 21 inches x 11 1/2 inches x 3 inches. Platform measures 11 1/2 inches x 14 3/4 inches x 3/4 inch. Balance beam supports measure 15 1/2 inches high. Base has hand hold in the front. All are painted black. Balance beam is approximately 18 1/2 inches long. The beam is divided into two sections containing markings with weight numbers. The small section indicates ounces. The large one, pounds. The balance beam and weights that slide along the beams are made of brass. Additional weights are provided: three # 20 1/2 lb and 2 other weights with no weight markings and can be hung on the end of the smaller beam.
