Description

Large bronze plaque cast from metal recovered from the USS Maine. The Plaque reads: "In Memoriam USS Maine Destroyed in Havana Harbor February 15th 1898." The featured soldier is holding a shield that reads "Patriotism, Devotion" Artist and foundry marks on bottom right of the plaque. "C. Kecks SC. 1913 cast by Jno. WIlliams Inc., N.Y." Stamped: Tablet685 on the back
