From the set of tools belonging to and well-used by Frederick A Lee, master mason of Islesboro during the first half of the 20th century. See book "Summer Cottages of Islesboro" p. 119. This L-shaped mason's square has a 7.5" x 1.5" metal blade, a 4" x 1.5" wood handle, making a 90-degree angle to measure "true and straight."
