Description

From the set of tools belonging to and well-used by Frederick A Lee, master mason of Islesboro during the first half of the 20th century. See book "Summer Cottages of Islesboro" p. 119. This chisel is 5" long with an octagonal shaft 3/4" diameter 3.6" long which expands to a tapering blade 3" wide which in turn tapers to a 1/4" wide beveled blunt edge for chipping stone or brick. The top is well mashed by hammer blows.
