A wood sled, homemade of roughsawn wood, 4 feet long, 13 1/2" wide , 4 1/8" high. The two runners were made of 1" x 7" lumber, planed to c 4 1/8" height except for the 24" at the front where the runners taper up in an arc. The runners are notched at the rear with corners rounded, and between the runners is fastened a 11 1/4" x 35 3/4" x 1" plank, corners rounded. Runners are painted green, the plank seat red. The seat is braced underneath with two wood braces between the runners, across the plank, measuring 3/8" x 1 3/4" x 11 1/2". On the top side a 1" x 4" has been used to brace or repair the seat or to serve as a foothold.
