A nicely-made wooden stereopticon 13" long. A bent wood frame 5" across is pressed to the viewer's forehead so that viewer may see through the lenses to a two-part picture of one subject which, because of the lenses and the differences in the two pictures, looks three-dimensional. This one is missing its card-holder/slide. This was a popular parlor piece before the days of movies, slide projectors, TV etc. The photographic cards were made and sold commercially. This one presumably belonged to Benny Heald since it was found in the Heald house.
