Wooden Cheese Box from the old Williams Store (1904-1959) in Dark Harbor, ME. Wood frame with three sides glass, and top, bottom, and rear solid wood panels. Rear panel of box opens, wood tray holding cheese can be rolled out and cut . Cheese boards show evidence of many cuttings with knife. Came with a second wood cheese/cutting board/ tray. Trays have metal rollers on four corners underside
On the display card in the box "note knife scars on cheese board (pulls out from rear) many a pound of good "stoah" cheese) originated here".
