House and barn connected by a long structure, smaller in height than the barn and the house. The house is at the left end, and there is another barn-like structure on past the barn on the right. The house and the connecting structure are painted white and the house has dark shutters. The barn is dark. A small tree grows in front of the left end of the connecting structure. One chimney is centered on the house.
247 West Bay Road. Once belonged to Elisha Pendleton. This is the identification on the back of the picture, but if it is correct, really major changes have been made to the house. On back is written "Grinnell's Place" and that seems correct. The house overlooks the bay.
