7 1/2 inches, includes handle but not hook. Cylinder 2 3/4 inches in diameter x 5 1/2 inches tall, is in two parts that unscrew. Top part includes reflector shield (tin), strap, bail handle with attached 5 inch hook at top and another flat, straplike hook 3 3/4 inches long on side opposite reflector shield. Both top and bottom pieces have vertical raised areas at regular intervals of 3/4 inch.
