Scope and Content

This collection contains various publications, minutes of board meetings, press releases, various newspaper clippings, incoming and outgoing correspondence, maps and blueprints of the San Jose area, various internal files, various legal documents, legal descriptions of lots, nominations for National Register of Historic Places, block and owner papers (including various papers of Blocks 1-136, contracts of houses, applications for rebate and modifications of contracts), miscellaneous notes, papers on the Admissions House at the Bolles School, National Register forms sent for original homes, "Save the Gate" papers, various invoices and forms, bank statements from Barnett Bank, and various accounting and administrative receipts pertaining to the San Jose Estates and the later San Jose Estates Preservation organization.
