-copy of an article in the Daily Citizen (now the Florida Times Union) on the First Annual Reception of the Woman's Club of Jacksonville, held on April 1st, 1897 at the Windsor Hotel. A dinner was held where announcements were made about the committees, officers, president and club goals. The club joined the State Federation of Woman's Clubs in January 1898 and became identified with the General Federation the following April.
