More than 6,000 Jacksonville residents crowded about the frigate "Constitution", better known as "Old Ironsides", when it docked at the Williamson Tie Company on December 16, 1931. The frigate was docked at the pier by the "Three Friends", the tug made famous by its filibustering activities during the Spanish-American War.
