Hildebrandt Building
300 West Adams Street
Architects: Marsh and Saxelbye
Also known as the First Federal Savings and Load Building. Six-story steel office and store building. The George Washington Hotel was located across the street.
W.J. Hildebrandt was a capitalist and investor in Jacksonville.
Marsh and Saxelbye designed more large buildings in Downtown during the 1920s than any other architectural firm (much like Klutho, who domimated the downtown skyline from 1901-1914).
