' 43 cm Invitation to President and Mrs. Grover Cleveland to visit the city during the winter of 1887-1888, preferably during February of that winter, to see the Sub-tropical Exposition by Jacksonville (Fla.) City Council. Issued jointly by the City Council and the Board of Trade. The invitation is handlettered and hand decorated with water-color vignettes and some colored captions. Bound in magnolia wood boards with handpainted oil of a magnolia blossom with buds and leaves on the cover. Cover wrapped in brown paper with hand lettered title in ink.
