Atlantic National Bank
This building came in second place in the running for tallest building in Jacksonville for the year 1908-1909, when it was completed.
The bank was ten stories tall, of steel frame construction, with white marble on the lower two floors and white terra-cotta on the remainder of the classically inspired facade. Two large story columns frame an ornate entrance.
The Atlantic National Bank had original offices in the Dyal-Upchurch Building and was founded in 1903 by Edward W. Lane, Thomas P. Denham, and Fred W. Hoyt.
Lane served as president for its first 25 years.Collection
