John L. Roe Residence
Riverside Ave. at Stockton
John Klutho built very few buildings/homes during the war years. In 1918, Klutho designed this house, a large structure for John L. Roe. It had large over hangs but little else that could be tied to the overhangs but little else to tie it to Prarie School style.
Note the classical columns in the recessed portico.
This house has been demolished.
John L. Roe was the son-in-law and business associate of lumberman W.W. Cummer.Collection
