Main Street Bridge, St. Johns River, downtown Jacksonville, Acosta BridgeDescription
Aerial view of Jacksonville, Florida from the southbank looking north to downtown Jacksonville. The Gulf Life Tower (now Riverplace Tower) is being constructed on the southbank. At the time of its construction, it was the tallest building in the State of Florida (until Miami's One Biscayne Tower, 1972) and the defining landmark in Jacksonville's skyline.
The University Club of Jacksonville occupied the building's top floor as a private club since 1968 (closed in 2016).Collection
