Photo taken September 1st, 1915 in Jacksonville, FL. This photo shows downtown riverfront Jacksonville taken from the south bank of the St. Johns river. From left to right: The first large building is the Hotel Seminole. Behind it, the U.S. Post Office, distinguished by its tower. The Atlantic National Bank building is next. however, it is mostly obscured by the Heard National Bank Building, at the time the tallest skyscraper in Florida. Following is a gap in the skyline with the "Drew Co." sign below it. The next building after the gap is the Florida Life building, which itself is behind the Bisbee building, with it's unique double arch facade. Another gap follows, with a couple of water towers. Ending the gap is the Dyal-Upchurch building. The domed building to the right is City Hall. Two steeples that follow are First Presbyterian church and Immaculate Conception Catholic church.
