Merrill as President of Merrill-Stevens still under the name of Merrill-Stevens Drydock Company. The plant was founded in 1923 by the late Colonel A. R . Merrill and his brother, James E. Merrill, Senior of Jacksonville; Nitze inspects Swedish shipbuilding yard with Jacksonville reported as a possible site for $325,000 installation.
