Letter 1: Letter written to Mrs. J.E. Merrill from H.D. Elliott asking that her daughter (Helen J. Merrill) be the sponsor of the christening of the Washington A. Clark in 1903 in Jacksonville, Florida. Newspaper Clipping: Newspaper article "Steamer Washington A. Clark Launched". Date and paper unknown. Launch from the Merrill-Stevens ship yards. Sponsor of the ship is Miss Helen J. Merrill, daughter of James Eugene Merrill, founder and Treasurer of the Merrill-Stevens Engineering Company in 1903. Letter 3: Letter to Miss Helen J. Merrill dated September 19, 1903 thanking her for sponoring and christening the "Washington A. Clark" from Captain H.D. Elliott, captain of the steamer the "Clark". Photo of the Washington A. Clark.

Receipt no. 1859 dated October 13, 1902 to J.E. Merrill for payment to the City of Jacksonville of one-third the cost of paving LaFayette Street (home street). Letter from J.E. Merrill dated August 27, 1900 to his son, Kenneth Alexander Merrill. Cherryfield Maine is the location of Helen Pearly Small's childhood home). Kenneth would be about 7years old at the time of this letter. Receipt from Edgar Oliver to J.E. Merrill for "private teaching in Latin" dated May 31, 1905. One Envelope and one leter to Mrs. Helen Pearly "Nelly" from cousin Sarah on October 28, 1906 from Salem, Massachusetts. Letter to Helen J. Merrill at Salem College (Winston Salem, North Carolina) from J.E. Merrill (her father). The letter is two (2) pages front and back. Eugene mentions Kenneth Merrill returning to "his studies", livestock, Jamie (James Campbell Merrill) and his wife Annie's trip, boating, and selling his "interests in Talbot".
