12 pages : illustrations ; 31 cm Evergreen Cemetery Association. Cover title. Includes the Charter for the Association and a separate list of officers and trustees. noting A.G. Cummer as President. Evergreen Cemetery Association was organized in 1910 by a group of citizens of Jacksonville, Florida, for the purpose of establishing a cemetery to be owned and operated in perpetuity for the benefit of the people of this community. Contents:Association including officers and Board of Trustees (Old Evergreen Cemetery which had been opened by a private corporation in 1881 was purchased by the Association, continues to be known as Evergreen Cemetery; in 1912, Woodlawn Cemetery was purchased and named West Evergreen) -- Perpetual Care Trust Fund -- Being developed on the park plan (purchase of lots; business office in room 308 of the Greenleaf & Crosby Building at the corner of Laura & Adams Street) -- Selection of a family memorial space (new Receiving Vault erected in 1927) Many photos of cemetery. Date of publication isn't stated but, on p. 11, is the sentence "One of the finest examples of memorial art ... is the new Receiving Vault erected by the Association in 1927". Housed in an archival flap envelope due to fragility especially of the cover.
