The PATH Foundation and KAIZEN planning team were tasked to to realize the Emerald Necklace, with miles of connected greenways, parks, and urban trails, which has been envisioned nearly a century ago. By conducting a feasibility study of potential trail connection through the urban core area in the City of Jacksonville, Florida, the Emerald Trail Master Plan identified 2 tiers of projects with 19.7 miles of new trails encircling the downtown area with a 10-year implementation strategy.
