47 pages : illustrations ; 23 cm National railway bulletin by National Railway Historical Society. Volume 47, Number 6, 1982 Continues National Railway Historical Society. Bulletin No month identified nor frequency. Selected content: Jacksonville & Havana Railroad by Paul Kutta. The Jacksonville & Havana Railroad was incorporated on April 13, 1925 to operate 41.8 miles of track between Havana, Illinois and Jacksonville. For almost 5 years the J&H struggled with its poor traffic base until the bankruptcy happened. During the 1930s, the J&H operated 2 round trips for passengers between the 2 cities. The last run was made October 12, 1937. The remains were sold for scrap in Sept., 1938.
