This is a file of primarily newspaper clippings about Henry Lee Adams, Jr. He became the first Black circuit judge for the Jacksonville area when nominated by William Clinton on October 29, 1993, to a seat vacated by Judge Susan Black. He was confirmed by the Senate on November 20, 1993, and received commission on November 24, 1993 assuming senior status on April 8, 2010. Known by his friends as "Archie", he grew up in the Eastside of Jax. When he joined the law firm of Sheppard, Fletcher & Hand, this firm became the 1st racially integrated law firm in Florida.
