On January 1st, 1935, Arlington pioneer resident William Hawley, mimeographed 20 copies of a neighborhood newspaper he called The Arlingtonian. His little newspaper was so well received that he continued its publication on a weekly basis for 14 years. Holdings include these issues: (boxed by year) Volume 1, no issue noted, Jan. 12, 1935 (11/2021 info added; filed with 1936 issues) - Volume 2 (1936); Volume 3 (1937); Volume 4 (1938); Volume 5 (1939); Volume 7 (1941); Volume 8 (1942); Volume 9 (1943); Volume 10 (1944); Volume 11 (1945); Volume 12 (1946); Volume 13 (1947); Volume 14 (1948); and Volume 15 (1949); separate copies (in box; stapled copies) from 1936-1949 (not inclusive).
11/2021 extra copies, 1945: Volume 11 -- March 29 2d copy added p.1-4 stapled together but p.3-4 don't match c.1, no indication of date -- Have 1 page of unknown July issue, found in vol.11, in 1945 box, couldn't verify issue -- 2d copy added for Aug. 2, 1945 but only p.1 -- October 11, 1945, p.1 & 2 only -- Oct. 18, p.1-4 -- Oct. 25, p.1 & 2 only -- Dec.13, p.1-4 but 3 & 4 don't match c.1 yet stapled together.
11/2021 extra copies, 1946: Volume 12 -- 2d copy Jan. 17, 1946 but only p.1 -- 2d copy March 28, 1946 but p.1 & 2 only, p.3 & 4 don't match -- 2d copy Nov. 21, 1946, p1-3.
