David Gum grew up in Jax, Florida as his father was a popular bandleader and the local musicians president. Gum is a graduate of Wolfson High School and University of North Florida. .He graduated from UNF with a BA in history and spent the next 10 years playing with some of the southeast premier regional bands. Since the late 1980's, David has been a successful piano bar entertainer.
