No. 1- Bow of Clyde Mallory S.S. "Cherokee" damaged in collision with the British ship "Welcombe" about 2 miles below Mayport at about 6pm January 17th, 1936. Temporary repairs such as rebracing bow were made to the Cherokee and she proceeded on her voyage to New York 3pm January 18th, 1936 where repairs were made.
