Intended as a manual to aid the student and the professional man in preparing himself for usefulness. by John Todd. D. D. Revised and improved by James M. Hubbard. Almost entirely composed of blank pages with guide letters on them, intended for use by the owner as a kind of commonplace book in which to index passages to which he may wish to refer. An introduction and directions for use of the book occupy the first 12 pages. Blank, ruled sheets with index markings at top. Preface: When you read any thing wwhich you may hereafter need, place the principal word in the margin under the first letter in that word and the first vowel in it. Preface to Semi-centennial ed.: The following list of books is given in the hope that they will be of service in laying the foundation of a library for students of limited means, page 12.
